Sean Scully (30 de Junio de 1945) nacido en Dublín y de nacionalidad estadounidense es un artista intrépido y vanguardista cuya obra esta presente en museos y galerías de todo el mundo, Museo Moma, Metropolitan Museum, Guggenheim Museum de Nueva York así como la Tate Gallery de Londres.
Por especial encargo de la Alhambra, Sean Scully ha preparado “Luz del Sur”, una recopilación de piezas en gran formato de gran belleza inspiradas en la fortaleza nazarí. Este catálogo recoge toda la obra que se expondrá en la Alhambra del 30 de marzo hasta el 10 de junio de 2012 en la capilla del palacio de Carlos V.
